Four More Newspapers Intend To Drop AP Over Rates
The Bakersfield Californian and three Washington papers, including The Spokesman-Review of Spokane, will drop AP. "What we are paying for is not cost-effective," says Steve Smith (left), Spokane editor who will save about $32,000 per year under the new rates, but says it's not enough. "The money we save will help me preserve local staff jobs."
